Why no Playoff for NCAA Football?

Filed under: Real Estate — Dave Phillips @ 11:29 am

Generally the answer to most questions in sports is “follow the money.”  However, the debate over how we crown a national champion football team doesn’t follow this pattern.  You may hear an arguement that the “bowl people” have too much money on the line to change the system, but I can’t figure this out.

It seems to me that bowls could still exist for teams outside the top 8 and then we could add 7 playoff games for the top 8 teams that would be WAY MORE lucrative than any bowl game.  With this in mind, I have no idea why the NCAA does not go to a playoff for D1 football.

The Need for Leaders

What we need today, more than anything else is leaders.  I’m not just talking about politicians; I’m talking about all aspects of life - business, religous, sports, etc.

If you are willing to lead - and most people aren’t - you can be a success.  You just need to have the courage to fail and a short memory.

Definition of politics

Coming from the latin word poly meaning “many” and the word tics meaning “bloodsuckers.”
