  2. This is my first entry. I felt it was important enough to write. The Green group that meets in the front conference room at caar the last friday of every month had a terrific guest speaker this morning. Charles Hendricks of the The Gaines Group, PLC.
We discussed the pros and cons of different types of insulation. Did you know that we have a mixed climate here so open cell is better for our homes than closed cell.
We talked about appling mastic(sp)to duct work to keep it from leaking. Do you know what that is?
Do you know that there is water under the parking lot at the new Better Living at Zion Crossroads? On purpose. Rain water storage.
Do you know where your electricity comes from? Is it Coal generated or from North Anna? Mercury is released if it is coal generated. Did you know that?
Do you know the differences between LEED and Energy Star and Earthcraft?

    What an hour of information!!!!!!!!

If you have any interest in Green you should attend the next meeting.
